90 PARKER POINTS : VISAN 2016, DOMAINE DE L’OBRIEU

90 PARKER POINTS : VISAN 2016, DOMAINE DE L’OBRIEU

The US magazine Wine Advocate (Robert Parker) has just awarded the score of 90/100 to the Côtes du Rhône Villages VISAN 2016.

Tasting notes from Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate) : “I did not know the Domaine de l’Obrieu, he has produced a seductive 2016 Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan. An organically grown blend of Grenache and Syrah, this medium to full-bodied effort features attractive notes of Provence herbs, raspberries and stone fruit before coming to a lingering, silky finish.”»

History of the Domaine de l’Obrieu : Located on the slopes of the upper part of the appellation, the terroir of the Obrieu area is chalky clay and limestone. Jonts rolled pebbles, the benches exposed to the south and southwest allow an ideal sunshine while remaining safe from the mistral. A reasoned culture, respectful of the equilibrium of a vineyard aged 35 to 60, evolves towards a project of organic conversion.
